Profile

Professor David Andrich is Chapple Professor of Education in the Graduate School of Education, the University of Western Australia. He was formerly with the School of Education, Murdoch University. Professor Andrich specialises in modern theories of social measurement with applications to education, psychology and sociology. He is currently working on response formats and models for both performance assessment and preference and choice decisions. Other areas of expertise include:

  • research design in the social sciences
  • tertiary entrance and selection
  • history of social measurement
