Professor Robert Freestone is Professor of Planning and Urban Development in the Faculty of the Built Environment at the University of New South Wales. Professor Freestone's research interests are in urban planning history, metropolitan change, heritage conservation, and planning education. He is a Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).

  • Member of the PIA National Education Committee (2006-to date)
  • Member of the Griffin Heritage Advisory Panel of the National Capital Authority (2003-2005).
