John King recently retired as Professor of Economics at La Trobe University, where he is now Adjunct Professor; he is also Honorary Professor at Federation University Australia. He specialises in the history of economic thought, with particular interests in post-Keynesian theory, Marxian economics and the economics of socialism. He is currently working on an English translation of Otto Bauer's last major book, ZWISCHEN ZWEI WELTKRIEGEN? (BETWEEN TWO WORLD WARS) (1936) with Michael Kraetke of the University of lancaster, and is in the early stages of writing AN ADVANCED INTRODUCTION TO POST KEYNESIAN ECONOMICS for Edward Elgar.
Recent publications include THE MICROFOUNDATIONS DOGMA (Elgar 2012) and DAVID RICARDO (Palgarave Macmillan 2013).
