Professor Denzil Fiebig

Denzil Fiebig is a Professor is the School of Economics at the University of New South Wales.  Professor Fiebig specializes in econometrics with applications in the field of health economics.  His current research interests are in microeconometrics with emphasis on modelling utilization of health care and services and in particular on modelling the interaction between doctors and patients.  Other areas of expertise include:

  • forecasting
  • demand modelling
  • econometric methods

He previously held positions at the University of Sydney, most recently a personal chair in Econometrics and Business Statistics and was the Head of the Department of Econometrics from 1992 to 1999.  He is currently on the Executive Board of the International Health Economics Association and a member of the ARC College of Experts.
