Profile

Dr James Jupp is Director of the Centre for Immigration and Multicultural Studies at the Australian National University. His main work was concentrated on producing a second edition of the Bicentennial encyclopedia The Australian People. Funded by the Commonwealth and State Ministers for Immigration this was completed for the centenary of federation in 2001. He has published two more recent books since 2001 on immigration policy and the English in Australia.

Dr Jupp's other main interests include -

  • immigration policy
  • multicultural policy.
  • party politics.
