The Academy 2019 Symposium
Saving People & the Planet: Exiting the consumptagenic system

Tuesday 12 November 2019
National Library of Australia, CANBERRA

Welcome to 2050. We live in a healthy, sustainable and equitable world – how did we get here? The focus of the day will be on the role of the social sciences in helping to save people and the planet by moving beyond the consumptagenic system. With an emphasis on the pathways via which this has happened, and not on describing the problem, this event day will be interactive, engaging and finish with a call to action.
