In 2002, with the generous assistance of the Government, ASSA embarked on a program to assist Indigenous postgraduate students and their supervisors in their joint aspirations to ensure the timely progress to completion of Masters, PhD, and other professional qualifications. The Summer School involves a week of residential, intensive activity. This initiative attracted support from private foundations and individuals and has completed three very successful summer schools with ASSA Fellows generously volunteering their services. This flagship outreach program is one that ASSA is determined to continue, pending funding.
