Dr Judith Brett is a Reader in Politics at La Trobe University. She is a political historian of twentieth century Australia, specialising in nonlabour history, and in political culture. She is also interested in political biography and is the author of Robert Menzies Forgotten People. She is a regular media commentator on contemporary Australian politics. She was the visiting Professor of Australian History at University College Dublin from 1998-2000.
