- The affairs of the Academy are directed by an Executive Committee and nine other committees that oversee the various programs of the Academy.
The President and Executive Director are ex-officio members to all the Committees. The Committees are supported by the Secretariat.
- The affairs of the Academy are directed by an Executive Committee, consisting of the President, the Executive Director, the Treasurer and seven other Fellows elected for three years by a general meeting, normally held annually. It is chaired by the President.
The Executive Committee meets at least three times in each calendar year.
- State branch convenors
- The Academy also has five branch convenors, one in each state (excepting Tasmania). Branch convenors provide networking for Academy Fellows from all ASSA disciplines within their state. Convenors may host visiting speakers, convene debates or suggest social activities. Convenors co-ordinate and conduct local meetings or activities among Fellows in that state.
