The Academy consists of 449 Fellows including those honorary and
overseas. Fellows of the Academy are elected by their peers on the
basis of having achieved a very high level of scholarly distinction
and for having made a distinguished contribution to one or more
disciplines of the social sciences.
Fellows are divided into Panels comprising clusters of the social
science disciplines, as follows:
PANEL A - Anthropology, demography, geography, linguistics,
sociology.
PANEL B - Accounting, economics, economic history, statistics.
PANEL C - History, law, philosophy, political science.
PANEL D - Education, psychology, social medicine.
